About the Cabo Verde marketplace

Mission

To be the marketplace people open first when they want something on Cabo Verde — not only the tourist strip on Sal. A buyer in Europe, a family moving to Praia, a guest comparing Santa Maria with Sal Rei, and an employer in Mindelo should find the same clear record.

That means real photos, a pin on the map, prices that say what they are (including a nightly rate and seasons for holiday stays), and a human review before an advert goes public. The marketplace is free to list. Payment is only for optional featured placement on the homepage, or for a holiday stay the guest chooses to book.

Vision

A single, well-kept record of how the islands live: property with a location you can trust, holiday houses whose calendars match Airbnb and Booking.com, employers who say what the work is, and businesses a newcomer can call on day one.

Santo Antão, São Vicente, Santa Luzia, São Nicolau, Sal, Boa Vista, Maio, Santiago, Fogo and Brava all belong in that record. The marketplace should stay useful in the low season as well as in December, and in Creole towns as well as resort streets.

How listing works

1. Create a free account. You can post a home for sale, a long-term rental, a holiday rental, a job or a business.
2. Add photos. Homes, rentals, holiday stays and businesses need at least one real photo. Jobs can be posted without one.
3. Set the island, the town, and drop a pin on the exact location. The town only centres the map. You confirm the point.
4. For a holiday stay, set the price per night. You can add up to three seasons — low, mid and high — that repeat every year. Nights outside those dates use the base nightly price.
5. Import iCal links from Airbnb and Booking.com if the same house is listed there. Occupied nights show as booked. Export the Ilhas calendar and paste it back into those sites so a booking here blocks the dates there too.
6. Submit for review. New adverts stay pending until an editor publishes them. Incomplete descriptions, missing photos or copied pictures are rejected.
7. Once published, the advert sits in its catalogue at no cost. Buyers, tenants and guests write from the listing page. Sale, long-term rent and holiday messages also reach the platform team.
8. Featured placement is optional: €10 for 30 days in the matching row on the homepage. It does not change the free catalogue listing.

A verified mark means a registry extract or a business registration has been checked. It is not given automatically.
