Santa Luzia
Birds and an empty shore
Best forBirdwatchers who already understand access limits
Santa Luzia matters because almost nobody lives there. Seabirds use the cliffs and the dry ground. The shore is not groomed. There are no bins and no one to pick up after a group.
If you are on a permitted visit
Walk where you are told. Do not collect shells, plants or “a small rock”. Do not fly a drone over colonies. The island is small enough that one careless afternoon is a large share of it.
The useful public version of this experience is reading the island properly before you go to São Vicente, then looking across the channel with that in mind. The listing pages and the relocation notes will not sell you a villa here. There isn’t a village to put it in.
